Endometriosis and Empathy: A conversation with Dr. Serena Corsini-Munt and Elisa Stragapede
We had a delightful conversation with Serena and Elisa about their work on understanding the impact of endometriosis on relationships. Their studies are helping researchers to shape the healthcare system towards a better future for those suffering with this condition.
Dr. Corsini-Munt, PhD, is an assistant professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa. She's also a licensed clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Her current research projects focus on couples' experiences on low sexual desire and sexual motivation, and she continues to examine factors that can help couples cope with sexual difficulties and that can inform treatment and intervention. Serena is the director of REACH Lab (Relationship and Couple Health). Elisa Stragapede is a PhD candidate in Dr. Corsini-Munt’s lab and she is developing several studies right now involving endometriosis.
