Conversations in Colour: Scrapbooking, Menstrual Health & Storytelling
Conversations in Colour is a creative community workshop centring menstrual, reproductive, and chronic health, created for people navigating PMS, endometriosis, menstrual pain, and other cyclical or long-term health experiences.
The session combines education, reflection, and creative practice to support participants in exploring their relationship with their body, identity, pain, care, and self-expression. It offers a gentle, accessible alternative to traditional support spaces, using art as a way to process experiences that are often dismissed, misunderstood, or difficult to put into words.
A core part of the workshop is a guided scrapbooking and journaling experience. Participants are given a small scrapbook and a set of prompts that invite reflection on themes such as womanhood, the body, pain, rest, memory, and healing. Through collage, colour, words, and texture, attendees are encouraged to externalise their experiences in a way that feels safe and personal.
The process is optional, trauma-informed, and non-pressured. No artistic skill or prior experience is required. Many participants leave with a tangible keepsake that reflects their story and a moment of care they can return to.
